A spare end cap is supplied will all our heating products
This provides the facility to shorten the length of heating cable on site to the exact length of the pipe. This will assist when fitting the thermal insulation and ensure the outer profile of the insulation is uniform throughout its entire length and the outer diameter of the insulation is maintained as small as possible. Wrapping the heating cable will make the outer diameter of the thermal insulation larger.

Pipe surface temperature varies along the length of a pipe so full protection cannot be guaranteed if the heating cable has a thermostat which is intended to be pipe sensing. Always clarify this point with your supplier
WARNING: avoid placing a thermostat in contact with the pipe - use ambient sensing thermostats such as the
STOPFREEZE In-Line thermostat to ensure you have overall control.
